HISTORY
In 1981, the research and development department of the machine building company PMB became independent under the name E&D. Highly specialised in the development of production equipment, the company was active in a broad range of markets. In 1991 the company was acquired by DOCdata and was renamed to Industrial Automation Integrators (IAI) bv.
Laser technology had been one of IAI's main technologies for many years and in 1991 IAI decided to focus on the development of Laser and Optical Systems for industrial applications. A successful strategy which resulted in high end solutions for security, subtitling, packaging and co-makership.
In the beginning of 2009, IAI adopted a new business strategy which was accompanied by a new corporate image and a new name. Industrial Automation Integrators became IAI industrial systems. IAI industrial systems focuses its activities on two major areas: document security and specials.
